Lab 11 - Lab cleanup - Delete your collector from Sumo Logic and uninstall your collector

This lab teaches you how to add metrics charts as panels to dashboards.

Now that we have completed the exercises, we need to 1) remove your collector and source from the Sumo Logic training environment and 2) uninstall the collector from your computer.  You ONLY need to do this if you did labs 1 and 2.

Removing your collector from Sumo Logic training environment
  1. From the left navigation panel, click Manage Data > Collection to view all of the collectors.
  2. In the magnifying glass field, search for the collector you created in Lab 1.  Hint - It should be named client_<your initials>.
  3. Click Delete as shown below:

Excellent, you have just deleted your collector and your source from the Sumo Logic training environment.

Uninstall the collector software from your computer

Follow the directions below for your operating system

Uninstall using the installer from a Mac
  1. Open the Finder, select the Applications folder, find the folder Sumo Logic Collector.

  2. Double-click the file Sumo Logic Collector Uninstaller app.
  3. If prompted, enter the user name and password for the system.
  4. When the Sumo Logic Collector Uninstall wizard is displayed, click Next to remove the Collector.

  5. When the success message is displayed, click Finish.
Uninstall using the installer from Windows 
  1. From the Windows Control Panel choose Uninstall a program.
  2. Right-click Sumo Logic Collector and choose Uninstall.
  3. Click Next to uninstall the Collector.
  4. When the success message is displayed, click Finish.
