Tutorial Step 2: Download the Sample Log File (deprecated)

We have provided a sample log file to use for the duration of this tutorial. Download the file and edit the date using the following steps.

  1. Download the CSV file apache_access.csv
  2. Open the downloaded file in a text editor.
  3. Do a "find and replace" on the day and date, and replace it with the current day and date. For example, search for the date "Tue Feb 22" and replace it with the current date using the same format.
  4. Save this file.

Next, we will upload the log file using the Sumo Logic Setup Wizard.
